Security and privacy are increasingly important issues. Therefore, it is also necessary to consider the security and privacy of your TU Delft account.
You are now using SMS as your login method. To increase the security of your TU Delft account and to protect your privacy we advise you to use an authenticator app. Besides being more secure, the app is also easier to use than SMS.
How to set up MFA:
You will need your cell phone and an authenticator app for this. Upon initial registration, a one-time SMS code is sent to the mobile number you have in
E-Service (iam.tudelft.nl). You can enable MFA through the links below:
- For TU Delft services via https://login.tudelft.nl/mfa
- And for Microsoft services via https://aka.ms/mfasetup
- Secure: significantly increases the security of your TU Delft account and protects you from phishing attacks
- Offers you a more robust and stable way of authentication (all your accounts centrally managed in one app)Reliable and fast: you no longer have to wait for a text message
- Offline access: no internet connection or phone network needed
- International: problems abroad with logging in via text message are a thing of the past. Because of these advantages, authenticator apps offer a more secure, reliable and user-friendly alternative to text messaging. You activate your authenticator app within minutes.
