Certified Computers

On this page, you will find an overview of computers that are certified for use within our organization. These devices have been tested for compatibility, performance, and security, and are recommended for optimal use with our IT systems.

Attention: graphics card (BS)
If you are about to choose a computer for running Linux, we advise the use of Nvidia graphics cards.
The ATI Linux support is, in our experience, lacking. Therefore, configurations with ATI cards in Linux computers are unsupported.

Attention: model numbers
This list is for reference purposes only in the hope it will be useful, but without any warranty. Model numbers may change without any prior notice. Even models that are supported may have changed hardware. If this is the case the new hardware may have to be (re)certified.

Table of certified computers
All the operating systems that are supported on an individual machine are checked. If an operating system is unsupported there usually is good reason for this (and it will likely not run well).
